The Prize Giving Ceremony of Inter Department Sports Competition Fall 2012 was held at Seminar Hall of Civil Engineering Department of UAP on February 13, 2013. On this occasion Prof. Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury, Vice Chancellor was present as the Chief Guest. Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. M. R. Kabir was present as the Special Guest. Head of Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities Prof. Dr. Md. Sultan Mahmud, Head of the Department of English Adjunct Prof. S. M. Amanullah, Head of the Department of Law and Human Rights Prof. Dr. Mir Shamsur Rahman, Faculty members and students were also present. Prizes were given for Cricket, Carom, Table Tennis and Badminton tournaments. Department of Law and Human Rights won the Champion's trophy for winning in Cricket tournament while the runner up position was won by students of the Department of Civil Engineering.

Prof. Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury in his valuable speech encouraged the students to be involved in sports as it helps generate a positive energy. "Sports and similar activities refresh one's mind and help out of monotony to a great extent", he said. He recalled his student life and said, "When I was a student I was equally involved in sports and co curricular activities besides my academic studies", he added.

The moderator of the program was Mr. Md. Anisul Haque, Faculty member of Basic Sciences and Humanities. The team members of both Winning team and runner up team took photos with the Chief Guest Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury and Special Guest Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. M. R. Kabir at the end of the program.
